    Allah ﷻ says

    *فَاذْكُرُونِي أَذْكُركُمْ وَ اشْكُرُولِي وَ لَا تَكْفُرُون*

_Remember me, I will remember you. And be grateful to me, and do not be ungrateful._

Ibn Kathir رحمه الله writes _”Allah commands that He be thanked and appreciated, and promises even more rewards for thanking Him.”_
*How often do you ponder over the blessings you have received from Allah ﷻ?*

*How often do you ponder on whether Allah ﷻ is pleased with how you have used these blessings?*
In a Hadith the Prophet ﷺ said _”The son of Adam will not be dismissed from before his Lord on the Day of Resurrection until he has been questioned about five things: his life and how he spent it, his youth and how he used it, his wealth and how he earned it and how he disposed of it, and how he acted upon what he acquired of knowledge.”_
[Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2422; classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi, 1969]
And the Prophet ﷺ also advised _”Take advantage of five matters before five other matters: your youth, before you become old; and your health, before you fall sick; and your richness, before you become poor; and your free time before you become busy; and your life, before your death.”_
    [Shu’ab al-Imān 9575 Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani]
So it is important to ask yourself questions about yourself,
In order to make yourself more aware and more grateful to Allah ﷻ for his blessings!
This blessing of Islam, have we fulfilled its right upon us towards Allah ﷻ?
This blessing of life, have we used it so far to please Allah ﷻ?
This blessing of… and the list goes on and on!
For without Allah ﷻ, you may have never been born into Islam,
    Nor would you have life,
Nor would you have eyes or a mouth!
But do the same eyes and mouth water and moisten in remembrance for the same creator who bestowed them?
The Prophet ﷺ would worship Allah ﷻ till his feet would swell,
The Sahaba would ask, Oh Messenger of Allah ﷺ, your sins are forgiven, why are you exerting yourself?
He would reply, *should I not be a grateful slave?*
So what of you and I, sinful slaves not Ambiya?
Isn’t this example of Muhammad ﷺ an indication that if the best of mankind did it, we *DEFINITELY* should do it?!
You pondering , will lead you to regret your lack of Gratefulness to Allah, and in turn make you more grateful!
    *Gratefulness is essential!*
