Sa’uda Bint Zama Ibn Qayyis Ibn Abd Shams belonged to the clan of Quresh from father’s side. Sayyedah Sa’uda was the second wife of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Sayyadah Sa’uda migrated to Abbysinia with her first husband. Her husband died while going for preaching across the sea. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) sent Abu Bakkar (R.A) to ask for Her hand. When they got married Prophet (PBUH) was 55 years old.
She passed away in 674 CE and lies at rest in Madina.
