Zainab Bint Jahsh was born in 593 CE, was the cousin and wife of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Zainab Bint Jahsh was initially married to the adopted son of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH); Zaid Ibn Haritha. However, the marriage did not succeed and they divorced after a year or two. After that Prophet (PBUH) asked for her hand and married her. There is a Quranic verse on Prophet’s (PBUH) marriage with Zaynab Bint Jahsh.
Zaynab Bint Jahash was the first one of Prophet’s (PBUH) wives to die after His Death. She died in 23 Hijra.
