Saeed Bin Zayd is the companion of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the brother in law of Hazrat Umar (R.A). He was born in 593 CE and is among the ten who were promised Paradise.
He is one of the early converts to Islam. He converted to Islam at the age of twenty. Saeed Bin Zayd is primarily known for being the source of conversion of Hazrat Umar into Islam. It was him and his wife Fatima, the sister of Umar who turned to Islam first in the family of Umar (R.A). It is upon fighting with them that the heart of Umar (R.A) changed and he became a Muslim. He is also known for his bravery and administrative abilities.
Saeed Bin Zayd died at the age of 79 in 673 CE.
