Shaykh Albānī:
The practise of wedding rings comes from the Christians.
They would first place it on the thumb and say “In the name of the father.”
Then move to the index finger and say “In the name of the Holy Ghost.”
Then to the middle finger and say “In the name of the Son.”
They would then put it on the ‘ring’ finger and say “Amen”.
