REFLECTIONS FROM THE QUR’AN
Surah Al-Araf, Aayat No 199:
خُذِ الْعَفْوَ وَأْمُرْ بِالْعُرْفِ وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِ الْجَاهِلِينَ
“Take to forgiveness and enjoin good and turn aside from the ignorant”.
Pleasing Allaah begins by forgiving others even when they wrong you again and again, even when they disappoint you again and again. When you forgive, you are showing that you do not care for the wrong that they did to you. You are willing to overlook it, and you are willing to forget it Because all that you care about is Allaah and to PLEASE Him.
Remind yourself of how pleased Allah Subhanahu wa taala is with Sabr (patience) So much so that it is the action which He has promised that He will recompense without any measure. The reward of Sabr is limitless. All of the other actions have a fixed reward, but not Sabr. This is the one action which has no fixed reward. That shows how great and tremendous is the recompense.
Just imagine then the bounties and the pleasures that await you in this world and especially in the Hereafter because of your Patience. So Forgive others and Forget what wrong they did to you, Allaah Subhanahu wa taala forgives you and forgets the wrong you did. Do it only with the intention of pleasing Allaah, In Shaa Allaah you’ll definitely see wonderful rewards coming your way in future.
In a Hadith, Aisha(RA) reported that The Prophet (saw) said:
“Verily, kindness is not found in anything except that it beautifies it, and it is not removed from anything except that it disgraces it.”
(Muslim 2594)So be kind to the Creation and Your Creator{Ar-Rahman(Most Kind)} will be kind to you too In Shaa Allaah.
