﷽ ➖➖➖ LOVE FOR OUR PROPHET ﷺ ➖➖➖ Do We Truly Love Him (ﷺ)? ➖➖➖ It is Narrated by Anas ibn Malik رضي الله عنه that Prophet ﷺ once said “I wish I could meet my brothers” The Sahaba رضي الله عنهم asked “are we not your brothers?” He ﷺ replied to them “No, you are my companions, but my brothers are those who will believe in me without ever having seen me” [Narrated in Musnad Ahmad, Graded Sahih by Shaykh Albani]
Prophet ﷺ is referring to nobody other than you and I. He longed to meet us, He ﷺ wept for us in his Qiyaam Al Layl, Night after Night. He cried and supplicated till his feet were swollen, till his beard was soaked. And what was his Du’a?
A’ishah رضي الله عنها narrated: “Once, when I saw the Prophet in a good mood, I said to him: “O Messenger of Allah! Supplicate to Allah for me!” So, he said: “O Allah! Forgive ‘A’ishah her past and future sins, what she has hidden, as well as what she has made apparent.” So, I began smiling, to the point that my head fell into the lap of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ out of joy. The Messenger of Allah said to me: “Does my supplication make you happy?” I replied: “And how can your supplication not make me happy?” He then said: “By Allah, it is the supplication that I make for my Ummah in every prayer.” [Reported in ‘Sahih Mawarid adh-Dhaman’ (1875), and it is in ‘as-Silsilah as-Sahihah’ (2254)]
Our Nabi ﷺ! Our Rasool ﷺ! Our Habib ﷺ! Our Intercessor ﷺ! The Imam of the Ambiya! The Seal of the Prophets! Muhammad ﷺ! He ﷺ loved us, more than we love ourselves, otherwise we would weep and supplicate as he did سبحان الله
He ﷺ loved us, but what have we done to show our love and our longing to meet him? Do we learn his Seerah? Do we know his Sunan and follow it? Do we send Salaam upon him?
Or do we busy ourselves with the lives of celebrities? Do we follow the ways of the Rich and famous? Do we question his Sunnah and neglect it?
Then ask, Do we deserve to drink Al Kawthar from his hands?
Oh Ibn Adam! Muhammad ﷺ was sent as an example for you to follow, yet you chose to follow the ways of Ahlul Jahiliyyah! Who are you fooling but yourself in your negligence?
