Abu Aas Ibn Rabee was the maternal cousin of Hazrat Khadija (R.A), the first wife of Holy Prophet (PBUH) and also he was the son in law of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as he had married His daughter Hazrat Zaynab (R.A).
Initially Abu Aas Ibn Rabee was a non-Muslim and fought against Muslims in the battle of badar. However, few years before the Muslim victory over Makkah, he accepted Islam and rejoined with her wife.
