Hafsa Bint Umar was the daughter of Hazrat Umar (R.A) and was a widow. She was the wife of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). She was born in 609 CE.
She was selected by Prophet (PBUH) for marriage and they got married after the battle of Badar in 2 AH. She had memorized Quran and the one final copy of Quran prepared in the reign of Hazrat Usman (R.A) was prepared after comparing it with the copy of Hafsa Bint Umar. She lived all her life in piety and in a saintly manner.
Hafsa Bint Umar died in the month of Shabaan in 666 CE which is 45 in AH.
