In which sense is Jesus Christ a Saviour❓
Judges 3:9
“But when they cried out to the Lord, he raised up for them a saviour, Othniel son of Kenaz, Caleb’s younger brother, who saved them.”
There were many saviors in the Old Testament, all saving God’s people from their worldly enemies. There wasn’t a hint of a mangod saviour who does a blood atonement for their sins ❌
Jesus Christ pbuh too, would have been a saviour to the Israelites as Moses and Joshua pbut had been… Leading them to victory against their tyrant Roman occupiers.
But the Jews rejected Jesus pbuh. So Allah raised him up alive, before they could crucify him. Jesus pbuh will return to be the Messiah saviour of the Muslims since we believe in him correctly -as God’s Prophet and Messiah. Not as a man-god idol.
When Jesus Christ pbuh returns, he will lead the Muslims to victory against the evil Zionist and western imperialist powers who seek to destroy Islam.
But the notion of a man-god saviour who dies in order to take upon himself the sins of mankind is a pagan idea and contradicts the Old Testament. It’s the false teaching of the Helenistically- schooled Paul. The Jews never expected such a “saviour”. To the Jews, their awaited Messiah is a man, not a God. And he saves them from political oppression, not from sin via crucifixion. Repentance and Reform has always been the only remedy for sin!
And lastly, even the human saviors which Allah raises up from time to time, only succeed in saving their people by His Will and Power. So, in actual fact, only Allah/Elohim is our Saviour, in the real sense❗😊
“… that you may know and believe Me and understand that I am He. Before Me no god was formed, nor will there be one after Me.
I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from Me there is no savior.”
Isaiah 43:10 – 11
“Our Lord, take us out of this city of oppressive people and appoint for us from Yourself a protector and appoint for us from Yourself a saviour.””
(Qur’an An-Nisaa 4: Verse 75)
Allahu Akbar
