⚰ THE DEATH OF AMUBIEYA’S MOTHER: A LESSON TO THE PRESENT GENERATION OF SISTERS.
Written on February 26th, 2019.
Written and Compiled by; Assoutudeen Abu Mubaashir!
🧱 A general proverb says, “least said, soonest mended” which means “The more discreet you are, the less damage you cause.”
This is the lesson that the women of Islam yesteryears possess in terms of bashfulness to their Lord. Both in their open and secret affairs, they are always ready to learn and impact knowledge on the ummah, most especially their Children.A popular one among these women is the mother of Imam Bukhari (the author of Sohih Bukhari) who married a great Muhadith called Ismail Ibn Ibraheem. Imam Bukhari went blind when he was very young but after his mother’s immense prayers, Allah restored his eyesight.
By the age of 16, he had memorized many ahadith by heart including ahaadith from Imam Abu Hanifa (may almighty Allah have mercy on him) and other scholars. His teachers used to get the corrections of ahadith from him at that tender.
By the age of 18, he started collecting the ahaadith for his books. At the age of 18, when he started collecting ahaadith, he did not have facial hair at that time. He had memorized around 2,000 ahaadith when he was just a kid, all by the assistance of his mother.
What can we say about Imam Malik, Abu Haneefah, Imam Ahmad and Imam Shaafihi❓ The fact is they possess similar qualities to Imam Bukhari’s mode of learning, especially from their mothers.
There is no doubt that Islam has placed women on a platter of gold at all times. A level Allah has never put any other being except them. What could we say of Umu li Muumeneen, Aisha (may almighty Allah be pleased with her) who happens to be the fourth person among the Sohaaba who narrated most of the ahaadith from the Prophet❓
She even had a lot of students among the male and female companions. What of the mother of Sheikh Abd’rahman Ibn Jawzi, Sheikh Al-baaniy and Ibn Uthaymeen❓ They are all women of intellect, compassion, commitment and honor and not “Muslim slay mamas” who don’t even know their mission on earth let alone have vision of accompanying such mission. 😭
Women are outrightly the backbone of this Ummah but the reverse is now the case. It is pathetically displeasing that most of the Muslim women of the this generation have forgotten their primary assignments on earth.
How do you intend to give birth to the likes of Sheikh Amubieya, Sheikh Umar Dada Paiko and their likes when your concern is how to celebrate birthdays or congratulate your folks of the same everyday ❓😭
Tell me how you will assist this Ummah to procreate and raise people like Prof. Abdulrazaq Abdulmajeed Alaro, Alhaji Issa Akindele , Albaaniy Zaria and their likes when your headache is how to upload painted faces of pictures online❓ 😭How is it possible to replace Dr. Sirajudeen Bilal Al- Asrau kal baàs, Usthad Abdulganiy Olagunju, Abdulganiy Jumha and their likes when most of our sisters who don’t even use proper hijab are the ones celebrating world hijab day❓😭
How will this Ummah replace the likes of Dr. Sharafdeen Gbadebo Raaji, Abu Naasir, Dr. Faadhil and their likes when the sisters to do that are busy competing with brothers on jobs (that are not exclusive for females) in the labor market❓😭How will this Ummah replace Dr. Luqman Idrees Shekooniy, Dr. Rasheed Buwayb, Sheikh Ajia, Sheikh Imran and their likes when the sisters to do that are not considering the deen as the first priority when getting married❓😭
How do we strike the balance between the past and present scholars when those who should assist this Ummah by replacing them are the ones attending night clubs, different Owanbes and partying around❓😭How do you expect to have these kind of wonderful scholars and those that are not mentioned when you’re the women leader in APC and PDP meetings ❓😭
Dear lovely sisters, since learning is a treasure that will follow its owner to everywhere, I advice us to keep learning meaniful things that will assist this Ummah. We need you dearly and we can’t afford to joke with your potentials. Aspire to be one of Sheikh Amubieya’s mother and her likes by creating time to learn first because what you don’t have, you can never give.
Then, teach your children the lessons to sustain them about this life and hereafter.
There is no doubt that for this ummah to religiously upright and morally sound, we need to go back to the basis of which it is mounted upon. Our parents at home should assist and support their children to practise the deen in line with the Qur’an and Sunnah. It is saddening that the few amongst the women who are passionate to follow the Sunnah and give birth to these wonderful personalities mentioned are being victimized and publicly criticised at homes, schools, in public transport❓❗
Some parents complain because they fear that when their children practise the real Islam by either using full khimar or Niqoob, they may not be successful as their peers nor get a good job. Those parents have forgotten that Allah has decreed all provisions 50, 000 years before the heaven and earth was created as the best of mankind has informed us in an authentic hadith.
It is shambolic to have an erroneous creed that covering oneself will lead to poverty. How do you pray to almighty Allah to grant your children understanding of the deen and still complain that is becoming too much❓ Is that not hypocrisy in duah❓
It has been evidently shown to us all in our society that most of those who walk unclad find it very hard to acquire material gains they even wanted except for the decree of Allah as we are all struggling to survive. Why should we now lose our hereafter for this dunya when the dunya itself isn’t certain❓
Those aforementioned scholars aren’t poor and are not rich as well but most of them are capable to sponsor you and your children to learn anywhere in the world.
Similarly, we also urge our Government in all levels to rise to the aid of making our sisters practising their religion as it has been prescribed by Allah and his Prophet since it is their fundamental human rights. If you fail to grant them their civic rights, you will surely use most of the nation resources to build prison yards so as to sustain the present and future criminals after you might have turn virtually all womenfolk of this nation who should raise upright personalities to animals as a result of convincing hatred for Islamic dressing.
May almighty Allah forgive all outstanding mothers like that of Sheikh Amubieya’s mother. May He widen their graves, save them from the torments of it, lightens their graves and grant them all the peak of Al-Jannah and every other dead Muslims as well.(Aameen)
