🚫 There are some Muslim women giving talks in gatherings where non-mahram men are present. In most cases, they put on short”hijabs”🚫
⏩ Question:
What is the ruling about a woman who stand in front of men talking to them inside the masjid?
⏩ Answer
Praise be to Allah Azza Wa Jalla
1️⃣ Firstly
⁉️ A short hijab is not a hijab❌ it is not classified as a hijab — she only covers her head but she is the same as not wearing a hijab⚠️ because hijab is in accordance with share’ah not like that‼️
‼️ The scholars have based the conditions of the hijaab (covering) which Muslim women must wear in front of non-mahram men on the evidence in the Qur’aan and Sunnah. — So long as a woman adheres to these conditions, she may wear whatever she likes in public places and elsewhere, and her hijaab will be considered Islamic.
▶️ I has been give in details before about Requirements of Proper Hijab, may you can searching it above, but now I will give it in short,These some conditions may be summarized as follows
➖ The hijaab must cover her entire body
➖ It should be thick enough to conceal what is underneath it
➖ It should be loose-fitting, not tight
➖ It should not be so attractive as to call men’s attention to it
➖ It should not be perfumed
➖ It should not be a dress of fame and vanity (i.e., it shouldn’t be extravagant or excessively opulent)
➖ It should not resemble the dress of men
➖ It should not resemble the dress of kaafir women
➖ It should not be adorned with any crosses or pictures of animate beings
🚫 So based on that, the woman in picture is not follow the share’ah for wearing hijab
2️⃣ Secondly
✍️with regard woman give lecture in front of non mahram,We put this question to Shaykh ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Jibreen (may Allaah preserve him) who answered as follows:
🚫 In our opinion this is not permissible except in cases of necessity, and on the condition that the men cannot see her.— There should be a screen between her and them, and she should not soften her voice too much, because her voice may be ‘awrah.
✍️Shaykh ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Jibreen
⚠️ At this point we would ask the brothers who are organizing these lectures: what need is there for a woman to give a lecture in front of a group of people which includes men? We hope that the answer will not be because they want to prove that Islam does not oppress women or to prove that they are open-minded and enlightened! Or any other weird and mistaken reasons that can never be used to justify opening the doors to fitnah (temptation) which Islam seeks to shut firmly. We constantly repeat our advice: organize your activities within the framework of sharee’ah.
🚫So️ It is not permissible for a woman to expose her face in the presence of non-Mahram
✍️It is mentioned in the Qur’aan,
‘‘They (the women) should draw veils upon themselves by means of their garments.’’
📚(Surah Ahzaab).
‼️This Aayat specifically commands the covering of the face of a woman in the presence of strange men.
✍️Allah Ta’ala states,
‘‘And remain within your homes and do not go about displaying yourselves as was the custom of displayment during the time of ancient ignorance.’’
📚(Surah Ahzaab).
▶️After the revelation of this verse, the Muslim woman during the time of the Prophet (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) began covering their faces with veils.
The habit of walking with an exposed face was stopped. Without any valid
reason no woman left her home.✍️Allah Ta’ala
states,“When you ask the wives of Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) for something, ask them from behind a curtain, in it there is excellent purity for your hearts and theirs.”
📚(Surah Ahzaab)
▶️The Sahaaba (Radhiallaahu Anhum) are being ordered to ask questions and to speak to the pure wives of Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) behind a curtain. This is an order and command for pure souls. So, who are
we to consider ourselves free of this command. From this Aayaat, were learn
that it is not permissible for a male to give a lecture to woman without any Hijaab (curtain, screen, etc.)⁉️ The Female Voice
✍️Allah Ta’ala states to the beloved wives of Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi
Wasallam),‘‘Do not speak in soft (alluring) tones (with men) for them, he in whose heart there is a disease will lust.’’
📚 (Ahzaab Aayat 33)
▶️The female voice possesses the ability to incite passion in man. In the
libertine of the west, this ability is even cultivated and intensified under
tuition. Allah Ta’ala, the Creator, being fully aware of the propensities of
all things He has created commands that exercise Hijaab on even their voices
and not speak to men. When there is a need to speak in, she should not adorn her voice, may not speak in soft and alluring tones, or seductively. — She should speak from behind a screen with harshness in her voice.3️⃣ Thirdly
⚠️ The Prohibition of Men Entering the Gatherings of Unrelated (Non-Mahram) Women
✍️‘Uqbah bin ‘Āmir narrated that Allah’s Messenger (salallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam) said,
“Beware of entering upon [the gatherings of] women.”
A man from the Ansar said, “Allah’s Messenger! What about the brother-in-law of a woman (and his uncles and nephews)?”
The Prophet (ﷺ) replied: “The brothers-in-law of a woman (and his uncles and nephews) are death!”
📚(Al-Bukhāri, no. 5232, Muslim, no. 2172)
✍️In a narration of Ibn ‘Abbās (radiyallāhu ‘anhumā), the Prophet (salallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam) said:
لاَ يَخْلُوَنَّ رَجُلٌ بِامْرَأَةٍ إِلاَّ مَعَ ذِي مَحْرَمٍ
“No man should be alone secluded with a woman except in the presence of her Mahram.”
📚(Al-Bukhāri, no. 5233)
And Allaah is the Guide to the Straight Path. And Allaah knows best.
