Umar رضي الله عنه said:
“It’s better to avoid sin than to endure (the pain of) repentance.”

A women came to ‘Aisha رضي الله عنها in thin clothing (which exposed their body shape).
‘Aisha رضي الله عنها said to them:
“If you are (truly) believing women, then this is not the garment of the believing women!
And if you are not believing women, then (you may) enjoy it!”

Ibn Qayyim رحمه الله said:
“There are those who do not see the effects of a sin, and they are tricked by it. They don’t realize that the sin can take effect after a while.”

Sheikh Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān Hafiẓahullāh:
“Some say ‘I put my trust in Allāh, I will sit worshipping and Allāh will provide’, this is IMPERMISSIBLE. You MUST seek provision for yourself and your wife, it’s a part of worship, DO NOT sit for charity.”
