HELLFIRE WILL BECOME HARAAM FOR THE ONE WHO REMINDS OTHERS OF THE COMING OF RAMADAAN
➖➖➖
An Innovation – A Lie – A Sin
➖➖➖A message has been going around for some time now, which claims that the Prophet (ﷺ) said that the hellfire will become haraam for the one who reminds others of the coming of Ramadan.
Brothers and sisters in Islam, let it be known that there is no authentic hadeeth from the Prophet (ﷺ) specifically about reminding others of the coming of Ramadan nor of such virtue attached to it.
This is a fabricated saying, and the consequences of spreading such fabricating statements against the Prophet (ﷺ) are many folds.
And the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“Telling lies about me is not like telling lies about anyone else. Whoever tells lies about me deliberately, let him take his place in Hell.”
(Sahih al-Bukhaari, 106)
Jareer ibn ‘Abdullaah al-Bajali (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said: “Whoever starts a good thing and is followed by others, will have his own reward and a reward equal to that of those who follow him, without it detracting from their reward in any way. Whoever starts a bad thing and is followed by others, will bear the burden of his own sin and a burden equal to that of those who follow him, without it detracting from their burden in any way.”
(Reported by al-Tirmidhi, no. 2675. He said: This is a saheeh hasan hadeeth)
It is imperative that as Muslims, we do not turn ourselves to “forward as received merchants.”
And Allaah (ﷻ) says:
“O you who have believed, if there comes to you a disobedient one with information, investigate, lest you harm a people out of ignorance and become, over what you have done, regretful.”
(Al-Hujuraat 49:6)
May Allaah (ﷻ) have mercy on us and guide us through the straight path.
آمين
