There are many schools, countries and societies where provocative dresses have been banned for a singular reason, it is promoting immorality. A particular country in Africa at a point prevented ladies from wearing mini skirts in public because it was causing accidents. Nudity causes distraction, and it should not be seen as a choice, regulations are needed in this regard. While you have right to expose your body, people also have the right to their sanity.
The argument rests on the conclusion that women can dress in a way that causes such a powerful sexual arousal response in a man, he’s stimulated beyond the limits of his self-control. The woman made the decision to look like she does, the man did not have any choice about becoming so aroused, so the fault lies with the one causing it.
Many submissions have been made to chastise men for their excesses in items of immorality, fair enough, but we need to stop ladies from provoking the sanity of these men, after all we are aware that men are created to respond to things they see. If we do not want people to commit a particular act, we should make sure there is no room for advertising such deadly force. Citizens must not drink and smoke yet we sell in every street, this is the height of hypocrisy.
The best way to instil discipline or preach it, is to prevent people from going nude in public, it has a way of bringing out the animals in people. One thing that could be said to support the notion that men are vulnerable to being sexually aroused by appearance, is evidence that suggests male arousal is far more visual in nature than female arousal.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), “I have not left behind me any fitnah (temptation) more harmful to men than women.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5096; Muslim, 2740.
This temptation is real, it is everywhere on the street, on TV, on the internet, at workplaces etc. A man must try to prevent any form of immorality no matter how hard if it is demanding.A bike man picks up two passengers, a guy and a lady, the lady decides to sit in between the two men, after a while, the men start to have erection, many people will say, ‘these men are not disciplined’, this is not correct, the men are being stimulated by her back and front in the process, they are only reacting to situation they have found themselves, it is better prevented, a lady should always avoid precarious circumstances like this. On the average, most active men will definitely react lustfully in that situation.
A majority of people think a woman is more likely to be sexually harassed or assaulted if she wears revealing clothes, this is the fact, the truth is that societies where ladies are allowed to dress provocatively are taking the lead in social vices. Men need to be very disciplined in order to scale through hurdles of immorality, hence he will be a victim. Brothers should try to train their minds and bodies to shun temptation.
Our Creator instructed men to lower their gaze, but He also commanded women to dress decently, the wisdom behind this should be clear enough, women should not expose themselves before men that they are not married to. The creed condemns free mixing of both sexes, no handshake, hugging, touching etc, this is referred to as prevention.
It is then wrong to make opposite sex your bosom friend, as it leads to immorality, ladies should stop having secret seclusion and visits with opposite sex, even if they are your intending partners, only marriage can make you feel free with a brother or sister, not friendship. Once a lady makes herself too available to a man, then she becomes injudicious and wrong-headed. So the standard is, lowering the gaze and avoiding looking at unlawful things.
Always pay attention to details.
