DEATH! THE GREAT REMINDER

Death is natural. No man will escape it no matter one’s position and power.

It is used to check the excesses of mankind who goes beyond the boundary set by Allah. If not for death, how are we going to cope with wicked and heartless people especially those who had lived in the past?.

The likes of Pharaoh of Egypt, King Namrud, Adolf Hitler, Efunsetan Aniwura iyalode Ibadan etc.

Death should not scare the believers who worship Allah with sincerity and piety.

It is inevitable according to the words of Allah. Allah says in the Glorious Quran “All souls will taste death”

No matter one’s position, wealth, number of children and wives, one thing that is certain is death.

My Will, by Dr. Abdulhakeem Abdullateef.

A good conscious Muslim must always prepare for death through sincere worship and good deeds.

Couples should discuss death. Husband should Ask wife if he dies before her, how is she going to cope with life and her children.

I have witnessed the death of my friends, classmates, family members, neighbors and colleagues and I am sure some people will also witness my death and take me to the grave.

This is a taboo in Yoruba land but it’s a bitter truth which no sensible person can oppose. My heart is heavy and I was shocked when I heard the death of my beloved brother, Brother Shamsideen Muhammad -l-Awwal and my humble brother, brother Sulaimon Abdul Rahman Lekki. May Almighty Allah forgive them and bless them with Jannatu-l-Fridaos aameen.
If nothing will humble you in this world,I believe death will do it.

The life of this world is temporary while that of hereafter is everlasting.Millions of people come to this world and millions of people leave every second. This is a Sunnah (practice)of Allah which will continue till the last day.

Prophet Muhammad (sallalahu alayhi wasalam) advised us not to pray for death. He advised us to say this instead: O’ Allah, let me live as long as my living will be of benefit to me and let me die as long as my death will be of benefit to me.

O Allah, make our feet firm on the path of righteousness let’s us die as Muslim, Ameen thumma aameen
