كُلُّ نَفْسٍۢ ذَآئِقَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ ۗ
.
Every soul shall taste death
.
Everything in this Dunya has a set term and it will perish, everything in the heavens and the earth, except الحي the Ever-living. Allah will then recompense the creation for their deeds, whether minor or major, many or few, big or small.
.
Surely, Allah will not deal unjustly with anyone, even the weight of an atom, and this is why He ﷻ said,
.
وَإِنَّمَا تُوَفَّوْنَ أُجُورَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ۖ
.
And only on the Day of Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full
.
Even the Animals will have justice meted out between them, whichever one oppressed another will able to gain recompense, and then they’ll be turned to dust.
And when the Kafir sees this, he’ll wish to be dust too!
Allah ﷻ mentions in Surah Naba what he’ll say:
.
يٰلَيتَنِي كُنتُ تُرَابًا
.
I wish I were dust.
[78:40]
_
Coming back to our ayah in Surah Al-Imran
.
فَمَن زُحْزِحَ عَنِ النَّارِ وَأُدْخِلَ الْجَنَّةَ فَقَدْ فَازَ
.
And whoever is moved away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful
.
The Prophet ﷺ said “A place in Paradise as small as that which is occupied by a whip is better than the world and whatever is on its surface”
[Sahih Al-Bukhari 2892]

This is why we have the Du’a
.
رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةًۭ وَفِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ حَسَنَةًۭ وَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ
.
Oh Allah grant us goodness in the Dunya and the goodness in Akhirah, and save us from the fire of Hell.
[2:201]

Then Allah ﷻ ends the ayah
.
وَمَا ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَآ إِلَّا مَتَٰعُ ٱلْغُرُورِ
.
And what is the worldly life except enjoyment of deception.
[3:185]
.
Allah ﷻ has made clear for us that Mankind wishes and chases success in Dunya, but the real success, الفوز الحقيقي is in the Akhirah,

As Allah ﷻ says in Surah An’am
.
وَمَا ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَآ إِلَّا لَعِبٌۭ وَلَهْوٌۭ ۖ
.
And the life of this world is nothing but play and amusement.
.
وَلَلدَّارُ الاٌّخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِّلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ
.
But the abode of the righteous in the hereafter is far better.
.
Then Allah ﷻ ends the Ayah with an amazing thing,
.
أَفَلاَ تَعْقِلُونَ
.
Will you not then reason
[6:32]
_.
Let us ask ourselves,
What have we really been chasing?
Have we made our goals in Dunya go above that which awaits us in Akhirah?
_
Don’t take this Dunya for a home like the Kuffar do, make use of your blessings wisely
_
May Allah ﷻ grant us goodness in the Dunya and the goodness in Akhirah, and save us from the fire of Hell.
آمِيْن يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِينْ
