Sadaqah meaning is a charity given voluntarily in order to please Allah
There are many types of Sadaqah that you can do and earn its benefits.
There are various types of Sadaqah defined in the hadith and the Quran, these are:
1.Spreading knowledge is a Sadaqah.
2.Giving sincere advice is a type of Sadaqah.
3.Giving a helping hand, saying a kind word, even smiling at a fellow Muslim is Sadaqah.
4.It is a Sadaqah to give food to the poor peopleSadaqah is not at all obligatory; it is a simple act of kindness, a generous gesture made with the intention of helping others and being close to Allah the Most Merciful.
Sadaqah Jariyah is a charity that continues to benefit people long-term and continues to earn the giver rewards even after death.
Rasul Muhammad ﷺ said :“When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them.”
Sadaqah al-Fitr
Zakat al-Fitr is a universal Muslim obligation, meaning every Muslim is liable for its payment. It is due to “every Muslim, free or bondsman, male or female, young or old, poor or rich” (Bukhari).Every Muslim who has “Nisab”, or who possesses food in excess of their needs must pay Zakat al -Fitr.

It consists of (5.5) pounds of rice, wheat, dates, or similar food items.
An estimated amount of £5/US$15 per family member.Sadaqah (charity)in Qur’an and hadith :
Allah says in the Quran Chapter 63 Surah Munafiqoon verse 10:
Spend (in the Cause of Allah) from the provisions that We have given you before death should come to any of you and then he should say, “O my Lord, why did You not reprieve me awhile that I should have given in charity and become of the righteous.” But Allah does not at all reprieve a person when his term comes to an end, and Allah is well aware of what you all do.
Allah says in the Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 261:
The charity of those who expend their wealth in the Way of Allah may be likened to a grain of corn, which produces seven ears and each ear yields a hundred grains. Likewise Allah develops manifold the charity of anyone He pleases, for He is All-Embracing, All-Wise
Allah says in the Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah, verse 254:
O ye who beleive, spend of the wealth We have bestowed upon you (in Allah’s way), before the Day comes when there shall be no buying and no selling; when neither friendship nor intercession will be of any avail.
Allah says in the Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 274:
274 Those who spend of their goods (in charity) by night and by day in secret and in public shall have their reward with their Lord: on them shall be no fear nor shall they grieve.
Allah says in the Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 110:
110 And be steadfast in prayer and regular in charity: and whatever good ye send forth for your souls before you ye shall find it with Allah; for Allah sees well all that ye do.
Allah’s Messenger (saws) said, “Give (in charity) and do not give reluctantly lest Allah should give you in a limited amount; and do not withhold your money lest Allah should withhold it from you.”
Abu Kabshah al Anmari reported that the Prophet (saws) said: “I swear upon three (things) and ask you to memorize my words: ‘Sadaqah (charity) given from a property never decreases it; a man who suffers injustice and is patient with it, Allah will grant him strength; a man who starts begging, Allah will cause him to be poor.”
