وَعَلَى آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ ۞
ﷺ….🌹❤3 Preparations that need to be made to welcome Ramadhan
By : Sarah Lathiif 🇮🇩
1. Knowledge 🌹❤
This preparation is very important so that our worship reaps benefits, is useful, and is not haphazard. ‘Umar bin ‘Abdul ‘Aziz said :
مَنْ عَبَدَ اللهَ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ كَانَ مَا يُفْسِدُ أَكْثَرَ مِمَّا يُصْلِحُ
“Whoever worships Allah without knowledge will do more harm than good.” 📚 (Al Amru bil Ma’ruf, p. 15).
If we don’t know the laws of fasting, our fast could be broken. Not knowing what things are sunnah when fasting, we can lose a lot of rewards. Don’t know if immorality can reduce the reward of fasting, we may only be hungry and thirsty when fasting. I don’t know if dhikr together, whether after the five daily prayers or between tarawih or after witir, there is no reason, in the end all you get is tiredness because you don’t reap the reward. Remember, the condition for accepting worship is not just sincerity. Worship can be accepted if it follows the guidance of the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam.
2. Increase Repentance 🌹❤
This is what our scholars recommend. Before entering the month of Ramadan, increase your repentance and istighfar. Hopefully in the month of Ramadan we can be better. Let us leave behind the evil and replace it with goodness in the month of Ramadan. Remember that the conditions for repentance explained by the scholars as quoted by Ibn Kathir Rahimullah, “Avoiding sins for now. Regret past sins. Determined not to do it again in the future. Then if the sin is related to the rights of fellow human beings, then he must resolve it/return it.”
📚 (Tafsir Al Qur’an Al ‘Azhim, 14:61).
This is what is called nashuha repentance, sincere and pure repentance. May Allah accept our repentance before entering the time of blessings in the month of Ramadan so that it will be easy for us to carry out good deeds.
Among the prayers to ask for forgiveness from Allah is the following prayer :
اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِى خَطِيئَتِى وَجَهْلِى وَإِسْرَافِى فِى أَمْرِى وَمَا أَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنِّى اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِى جِدِّى وَهَزْلِى وَخَطَئِى وَعَمْدِى وَكُلُّ ذَلِكَ عِنْدِى
“Allahummagh-firlii khothii-atii, wa jahlii, wa isrofii fii amrii, wa maa anta a’lamu bihi minni. Allahummagh-firlii jiddi wa hazlii, wa khotho-i wa ‘amdii, wa kullu dzalika ‘indii”
(O Allah, forgive me for my mistakes, my ignorance, my attitude that goes beyond the limits in my affairs and everything that You know better than me. deliberately, forgive all the mistakes I have made)
📚 (HR. Bukhari no. 6398 and Muslim no. 2719).
3. Many ask for ease from Allah 🌹❤
Apart from the two things above, we also have to understand that it is easy to do good deeds in the month of Ramadan, it is all because of Allah’s convenience. If we continue to surrender to ourselves, then worship will become difficult to carry out. Because this self is actually so weak. Therefore, let us depend and trust in Allah a lot in carrying out our worship in the month of Ramadan. Continue to ask Allah for prayers so that we can easily carry out various forms of worship, including night prayers, fasting itself, giving lots of charity, reciting or repeating memorizing the Qur’an and other good deeds.
The prayer that we can say to ask for ease from Allah is as follows :
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّى أَسْأَلُكَ فِعْلَ الْخَيْرَاتِ وَتَرْكَ الْمُنْكَرَاتِ
“Allahumma inni as-aluka fi’lal khoiroot wa tarkal munkaroot.”
(O Allah, I ask You to make it easy to do good and leave evil).
📚 (HR. Tirmidhi no. 3233, authentic according to Shaikh Al Albani).
May Allah make our Ramadan better than before. Let us welcome Ramadhan Mubarok with joy, accompanied by knowledge, repentance and many prayers for ease.
Alhamdulillahilladzi bi ni’matihi tatimmush sholihaat 🤲🌹❤
