Maymūn ibn Mihrān رحمه الله said:
“A person has never attained large amount of good – whether he be a Prophet or other than that – except with patience!”
[Al-Bidāyah Wa An-Nihāyah: 9/384]
*Patience may be difficult and no one can deny that, however what good can one achieve if he does not have patience?
After the difficulty of patience comes the beauty of the outcome of your hard work:
“Patience is a tree; it’s roots are bitter and it’s fruits are delicious!”
So do not let the hardship of doing righteous actions, refraining from sins or being patient upon hardship affect your patience.
For verily, Messengers came before us, who were mocked, ridiculed, harmed, tortured and even killed, and that did not deter them or divert them from their religion.
(And certainly were messengers denied before you, but they were patient over [the effects of] denial, and they were harmed until Our victory came to them)
When they were patient, the relief and ease came:
(Just like after the night there is dawn, there will be victory after patience)
