Indeed adversity will continue to occur to a person with regards to himself, his wealth and his family until he walks on the earth and there remains upon him no sins.Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه reported: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said:
ما يزال البلاء بالمؤمن و المؤمنة في نفسه وولده و ماله حتى يلقى الله تعالى و ما عليه خطيئة
“The believing men and women continue to be under trial in their lives, their children, and their wealth, until they meet Allāh without any sin.”
[Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2399; classed as Sahih by al-Albani.]And Allāh ﷻ says in the Qur’an:
وَ جَزَاهُم بِمَا صَبَرُوا جَنَّةً وَ حَرِيراً
And their recompense shall be Paradise, and silken garments, because they were patient
[76:12]Ibn Kathir رحمه الله writes
Meaning, due to their patience He will give them, bestow upon them and accommodate them with Paradise and silken garments. This means a home that is spacious, a delightful life and fine clothing.Another beautiful Hadith
قال محمد ﷺ:
عجبا لأمر المؤمن إن أمره كله له خير وليس ذلك لأحد إلا للمؤمن إن أصابته سراء شكر فكان خيرا له وإن أصابته ضراء صبر فكان خيرا لهHow wondrous is the matter of a believer, everything for him is good. And that is not for anyone except a believer, if something good happens to him, he is thankful and that is good for him, and if hardship afflicts him, he is patient and that is good for him.
[Sahih Muslim 2999]Allāh ﷻ says
إِنَّ اللهَ مَعَ الصَّابِرِين
Indeed Allāh is with those who are patient!
[2:153]If you are patient through hardship, firm upon the matters in Deen and continuously seeking aid from Allāh ﷻ, then Allāh ﷻ will make a way for you, either in this Dunya or in the Akhirah!
Ya Ibn Adam! Everyone goes through hardships, and Allāh ﷻ does not bear a soul with more than it can bear. So have a good perception of Allāh ﷻ and keep steadfast!
Ya Ibn Adam! Don’t lose focus! Battle through this hardship in this momentary world, and experience no hardship or sadness in the eternal abode of bliss!
May Allāh ﷻ make us among those who are firm upon the Deen, and forgive all our sins, save us from calamities and punishments and enter us into Jannah Al Firdous.
آمين
