Saad Bin Abi Waqqas is one of the renowned companions and friends of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He was born in year 595 CE and is among the ten who were promised Paradise.

Saad is one of the early converts of Islam. He converted to Islam at the age of seventeen and afterwards continued on serving Islam till his death. He was known for his bravery and generosity. He was amongst the first Muslims to shoot an arrow against kuffar; it happened in the battle of Uhud. Moreover, he played a vital role in the conquest of Persia in 636 and the expeditions to China.

He died a wealthy man at the age of 80 in 664 CE and rests in peace in Madina.
